Meet the Pastor
Charles Wiltz, Jr., was born in Duson, Louisiana. At a young age, his parents, Charles and Jackie Wiltz, instilled in him the importance of consistent Sunday worship as a family. Although he often begged not to attend, his mother would not let that happen. Her consistency led to his discovery of a hidden musical talent. At 11 years old, he began singing in church.
Although he knew God was real, he had no real relationship with Jesus. It was at the age of 17 that he gave his life to Christ. God's abounding love and overwhelming presence filled his heart in a way he never knew could be possible.
The Lord began to use him, and at 21 years of age, he felt the call to preach. Under the ministry of Bishop Derald and Karen Weber, of the Pentecostals of Lafayette, his giftings and talents began to flourish. Charles has served in many areas of ministry throughout the years.
He has served in the music ministry as both a worship leader and music director. He has also served in the teaching and preaching ministry, most recently serving as staff Pastor for four years.
He now feels the Lord has given him his next assignment: to raise a church in the South Baton Rouge area. Charles is a lover of Jesus and people. His main desire is to introduce people to the same Jesus who impacted him. Charles is also a student at Houston Christian University, where he is pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies.
